Our Scam Prevention Program is built on a simple yet powerful 3-step framework: Educate, Prevent, and Respond. We empower seniors and their communities to take proactive steps against scams, safeguarding their well-being and financial security.
🧠Education
We believe that engaging in person is crucial for building trust and personal connections. Education is a vital step because it empowers through knowledge, breaks down barriers, and fosters a culture of vigilance. We host a 90-minute workshop onsite with groups of seniors, featuring three key activities. The first is a 25-minute interactive presentation where we help seniors understand different types of scams, how to spot and prevent them, and what to do if they're scammed. This workshop aims to provide a deeper understanding of scam techniques, helping seniors better detect and prevent fraud while building trust so they feel comfortable reaching out to our hotline for support. We hold these workshops twice a year, once onsite and a virtual follow up.
We also provide seniors with a scam prevention kit to help them stay vigilant. This kit includes:
• Magnets with our hotline number, ensuring seniors have easy access to contact information • A password book with helpful scam prevention tips and resources for digital safety • A camera cover and pen, both featuring the hotline number
These tools reinforce the workshop's lessons and provide ongoing support for seniors in their daily lives.

🛡️Prevention
Prevention focuses on two key outcomes for seniors: establishing a baseline for their digital identity health and implementing a proactive approach to safeguard them from scams through our Scam Prevention Engine.
To establish a baseline, we use our Discovery Engine. This tool assesses digital risk by analyzing a senior's email address and phone number. These data points are entered into the Discovery Engine, which identifies any associated accounts with compromised passwords. We run this process periodically to ensure ongoing protection, not just a one-time service.
After the assessment, we provide seniors with detailed information and steps to address the risks identified by our Discovery Engine. We then use the same data in our Prevention Engine, which utilizes public and private services to block scams, sales calls, and emails before they reach the seniors. This proactive filtering approach prevents scams from ever reaching their intended targets.
An additional crucial step in the prevention phase is programming the hotline contact information and email into seniors' phones. We also conduct a test text message, email, and phone call to the hotline to ensure everything is set up correctly.
Scope of Services
Digital Identity Risk Engine | Generates a comprehensive digital health assessment, identifying potential vulnerabilities such as compromised passwords, breached accounts, and presence in known scam databases. When feasible, our Senior Scam Prevention team will initiate the removal of entries from these databases as part of our Scam Prevention Engine protocol. |
Scam Prevention Engine | Our Scam Prevention Engine implements a comprehensive strategy to safeguard seniors. It systematically removes their personal information from identified scam databases and facilitates registration on do-not-call lists, effectively minimizing unsolicited communications and potential fraud exposure. Furthermore, we extend our efforts by partnering with data brokers and utilizing advanced tools to identify and mitigate seniors' data availability from common sources exploited by scammers, thus establishing a robust protective barrier against potential threats. |
☎️Respond
The Scam Prevention Hotline is a crucial part of our service. It provides a communication lifeline for seniors who often feel unsupported due to embarrassment or lack of access. Seniors can reach the hotline via phone calls, text messages, or emails. We offer these multiple communication channels to facilitate easy engagement and educate seniors on how and when to contact us. Throughout the education and prevention phases, we strive to build trust with seniors, encouraging them to feel comfortable reaching out. This aspect is vital to our operating model as it addresses one of the main challenges seniors face today: the lack of trustworthy resources to help them navigate these issues.
